Hello, it is good to share some ideas with you today.
I have been on holiday from work this week, which made me think about camping in the back garden. Perhaps you could build a den if you don’t have a tent, and if it rains, it is just as much fun to build a den inside the house.
Shall we build a den this week?
You will need……
You could use a tent or a playhouse if you have one, but it is much more fun to build one yourself.
Something to give it structure
a large cardboard box
A clothes airer
A couple of dining chairs
A climbing frame or swing
Something to make a cover
A blanket or a sheet
A couple of big towels
Clothes pegs are really useful to hold things together.
Furnishings
small chair or table
a rug or blanket for the floor
cushions
Teddy
Play tea set
A rucksack or bag
Snacks, a book, toys, a sunhat etc. Packing the bag and getting ready to go is part of the fun.
Let’s do some singing
Let’s start by waving our arms in the air,
stretch as high as you can,
touch the ground.
Now we can start….

Now that we have a den, let’s sing some songs about hiding.

Why not play hide and seek, you could hide a teddy or let your child hide.
