Another week when we can’t meet up, we do miss seeing you all, and if you would like to get in touch with us you can,

email
or use facebook messenger

Some of the leaders have been meeting via zoom each Friday, it’s a lot easier to chat for an hour when we don’t have to move chairs and tables!! We are all keeping well and managing to fill our time. We hope that you and your families are also coping with these difficult days.

Eleanor, Gwen, Jane, Jenny, Liz, Susie and Vikki.

Shall we make some paper chain people?

What you need
Paper – the longer the better, so long as you can cut through the folds.

Scissors

Glue – if you need to glue strips together

Pencils, crayons or paint – I used rainbow colours.

Fold the paper into zig zags, see picture two.
Draw half a head and body next to the fold, make sure that the hands and feet are on outside of the paper.
Cut around the body – this part of the craft is not suitable for Toddlers!
I wanted 7 people and I only had A4 paper so I made two rows and had to glue them together.
Colour in or paint the clothes and faces, I used rainbow colours, you could give them red, white and blue t-shirts for VE Day or you could draw your family.
Instead of cutting out people, try teddy bears or aliens or hearts, so long as you make sure the template goes to the edge, you should end up with a chain.

Singing time

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

Round and round the garden
Like a teddy bear
One step,
two steps
Tickle you under there

This week we have an alpaca they may sound like a goat.

How many animals can you see in this picture?

Incey wincey spider
climbed up the spout.
Down came a rainfall
and washed the spider out.
Out came the sunshine
and dried up all the rain.
Incey wincey spider
climbed up the spout again.
