Good morning, thank you for coming to our page, we are sorry that we can’t be with you on Friday mornings, but we hope that you are still singing our songs.

Shall we start by decorating some biscuits?

You will need
Round plain biscuits like Rich Tea.

Icing sugar and water, or frosting or melted chocolate.

Sweets, fruit, chocolate, food colouring, icing tubes etc use your imagination.

Teaspoons and a bowl to mix the icing or melt the chocolate.

If you use icing sugar and water, you should only add small amounts of water each time or it will be too runny. When you push the spoon in the mixture it will hold the shape.
Be careful with the chocolate, you can melt it in a microwave on 40, checking every 10 seconds or in a bowl put inside a pan of boiling water, don’t let any water get into the pan.

Use a spoon to drop the icing on to the biscuit and move it around so that it is all covered.

Then you can use your imagination to make faces, patterns or splodges.

If you don’t have biscuits, you could use crackers and cheese, with tomato, radishes and cucumber to make the design.

Time for some singing

There are lots of songs online but I’ve included the words for some of our favourites,
Let’s start by waving our arms in the air,
stretch as high as you can,
touch the ground.
Now we can start….

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

Five naughty monkeys bouncing on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mummy phoned the Doctor
The Doctor said
NO MORE MONKEYS BOUNCING ON THE BED

Four naughty monkeys bouncing on the bed
One fell off and bumped her head
Daddy phoned the Doctor
The Doctor said
NO MORE MONKEYS BOUNCING ON THE BED

Three naughty……

When all the cows were sleeping
And the sun had gone to bed
Up jumped the scarecrow
And this is what he said
I’m a dingle, dangle scarecrow
With a great big floppy hat
I can shake my hands like this
And I can shake my feet like that

When all the hens were roosting
And the moon behind a cloud
Up jumped the scarecrow
And shouted very loud
I’m a dingle dangle…..

When dogs were in the kennels
And doves were in the loft
Up jumped the scarecrow
And whispered very soft
I’m a dingle dangle…

Stop press This morning HarboroughFm played S Club Seven’s Reach as a request for us. We usually play this song when we are playing musical statues at our birthday party. Perhaps you could play that at home today.
