Good morning everyone, hopefully it is still sunny and you are able to play outside. This photo is from last summer when we planted vegetables to grow over the summer.

Thank you to Amy who has created another craft for us this week.

We won’t be back in the hall this term, but we are thinking about what might be possible in future, if you have any ideas please get in touch with us.

If you would just like a chat that would be great as well.

Let’s make something!

You will need:
Toilet rolls insides

Items to decorate them including:
Crayons etc
Googly eyes
Buttons
Paper (wrapping/scrap)
Lollipop sticks
Pipe cleaners
Wool
String

1 Who are you going to make? Maybe a member of your family, your favourite characters, nurses, shopkeepers, postwomen, binmen.

2 Wrap your paper around the toilet roll inside and cut to size. Glue this in place. Create paper hats, hair, clothes etc.

3. Use a sharp pair of scissors and create holes in each side of your toilet roll for arms (ask an adult to complete this step)

4. Thread a pipe cleaner or Lollipop stick through these holes to create your arms

5. Finally create your face using wool or string for hair and Googly eyes or buttons for eyes.

We hope you have fun creating lots of different people. We would love to see some photos if you can post them on our facebook page.

Time for singing

Maybe you could go outside and do some stretches this morning,
how about
running forward for five steps
jump three times
run for five more steps
curl up on the ground
and JUMP in the air.

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

Round and round the garden
Like a teddy bear,
One step,
Two steps,
Tickle you under there.

Why not take your teddy bear on a picnic today?

This is Michael Rosen reading one of my favourite stories We’re going on a bear hunt

The tune for this song is The wheels on the bus

The Bees in the flowers go buzz, buzz, buzz
Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz
The bees in the flowers go buzz, buzz, buzz,
All around the town.

The ants in the grass go march, march, march.

The crickets in the leaves go chirp, chirp, chirp.

The caterpillar in the field goes creep, creep, creep.

We do want to get in touch with you if your child is going to school next term, we always present the Toddlers’ Club children with a book and we don’t want them to miss out this year.

We know that things can be tough and the Bower House which is in the town has counsellors available on the phone. Just fifteen minutes or so of somebody outside the immediate household listening can make all the difference. There is no charge for this – although you can make a donation if you want to.
