Let’s start by making a bear

You will need

Two pieces of card or paper different colours
Two googly eyes (or make your own)
A side plate, a mug and an egg cup, or three other things of different sizes.
Wax crayon or felt tip to draw on the mouth and nose.
glue, scissors and a pencil.

Draw round the plate and twice round the egg cup in one colour and use a different colour for the mug.
Very carefully cut round the four circles
Stick the ears behind the big circle.
Stick the middle circle on the top of the big circle, but towards the bottom of it, leaving room for the eyes.
Stick the eyes on the big circle.
Draw the nose and mouth on the middle circle and put some detail on the ears.

You could make a panda using black and white paper or a tiger by colouring some stripes on orange paper (maybe smaller ears), or use your imagination to make elephants or monkeys. Please post a picture of your bear on our facebook page.

The wheels on the bus go round and round,
Round and round,
Round and round
The wheels on the bus go round and round
All day long.

The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish

The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep

The children on the bus go wriggle, wriggle, wriggle

The doors on the bus go open and shut

Time for some marching

When we march at Toddlers’ Club we listen to
The Grand Old Duke of York,
Colonel Hathi Elephant March – Jungle Book Songs,
and One finger, one thumb, keep moving.

Create a samba band with the RSNO, they publish a weekly challenge on a Wednesday, but you can find the previous ones here. Why not try to create the Samba Band and have a march around the house.

You can find the idea for shakers here
