Our commitment

The Minister, Steering Group and Church Members recognise the need to provide a safe and caring environment for children, young people and adults.  We acknowledge that children, young people and adults can be the victims of physical, sexual, spiritual and emotional abuse, and neglect. 

As a Church we have adopted the procedures set out in this safeguarding policy in accordance with statutory guidance.  We are committed to build constructive links with statutory and voluntary agencies involved in safeguarding.

If you are an employee or volunteer at the church, you are expected to follow our code of conduct.

Reporting a concern form

If you wish to raise a safeguarding concern

If an adult or child is in immediate danger you should contact the emergency services immediately and then report the concern to us if it involves a member of the church or has taken place on the premises.

To report an incident to Leicestershire Social Care
For concerns about an adult: Telephone: 0116 305 0004 (Mon-Thu, 8.30am to 5pm, Fri 8.30am to 4.30pm).
Emergency Duty Team Telephone: 0116 305 0888 (Evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays)
For concerns about a child: contact LCC’s First Response Children’s Duty Team on 0116 305 0005 (24 hour line).

The Church Meeting has appointed Nikki Beacher to be our safeguarding lead, she has had experience of safeguarding throughout her professional career.
