We expect this to be the last Activity Bag as we hope to be back in the hall in a limited way in June.
Lots of things have changed during the year, last March we had seven leaders, but Eleanor, Gwen, Liz and Susie have all decided to step down, which is a huge blow as we have enjoyed working as a team and on busy mornings we have needed everyone. This leaves Jane, Vikki and Jenny plus a team of people who are willing to continue preparing craft activities for us.

On Friday 11th, 18th and 25th June we will run a one hour session from 10am which will be limited to 15 adults due to Covid restrictions.

There will be activities and toys for the children but we also want to listen to your ideas for the future of Toddlers’ Club. There will be the usual charge of £2 and we will provide drinks.

We don’t like having to limit the numbers, but we can only have 15 adults, so we will put three posts on the facebook group page and you can sign up for one week initially. You will be able to see who else is coming to your session and pick a week which works for you.

We do want to try and get everyone together so we are also making plans for a simplified Teddy Bears’ Picnic, more details when they are finalised.  We will then have our usual summer break until September.

What shall we make today?

 Teddy on his boat.
1 Stick squares of cream paper onto the left hand sail. ( If you stick them to the right hand sail Teddy might not move around very well.)
2 Fold down the mast so the left hand sail moves freely.
3 Fold the line between the pink boat and the blue sea. This helps the boat to stand up on a flat surface.
4 Colour over the teddy with yellow crayons. You can colour over the boat and the sea if you wish, too.
5 Put Teddy through the slits so he seems to be on the boat. Many young children will want to use just one of the slits, and they will perhaps prefer to have the long tab at the front of the boatwhere they can see it. I had to fold my tab over to make the model stand up!
Have fun making Teddy dance and play on his boat!

Shall we do some singing?

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

Round and round the garden
Like a teddy bear
One step
Two steps
Tickle you under there

Row row row your boat, gently down the stream
merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream

Row row row your boat, over to the shore
If you see a lion, don’t forget to roar

Row row row your boat, gently down the river
If you see a polar bear don’t forget to shiver

Row row row your boat, gently down the stream
If you see a crocodile, don’t forget to scream

Row row row you boat as fast as you can go
If you want to win the race, row and row and row

Happy birthday

This week we just have one birthday in our book, if you have a birthday coming up please let us know.

Riley is going to be 4 on Tuesday.

We hope that you have a lovely day.

If you would like to have a breakfast delivered to you on Saturday 15th May please let us know. The suggested donation of £5 will all go to Christian Aid and you can read Florence’s story which explains how the money will be used.
We usually meet in the hall to eat the Big Brekkie together but this year we are getting on bikes and delivering it.

Contents are likely to contain cereal/fruit/croissant or pastry/jam/carton of juice/teabag.

Please get in touch if you want any further information about the June meetings or the Big Brekkie…..or anything else – we don’t know everything but we’ll give it a try!
