I hope that you have had a good week, another strange half term, I’ve had time off this week as well and it has been lovely to be out walking in the sunshine….and the rain….and the wind.

On Wednesday it was Random Acts of Kindness day, if you missed it, why not think of something you could do as a family, put some daffs on someone’s doorstep, make a card to say hello, put some seeds out for the birds.

As you can see I have run out of photos, so if you have a photo that you are happy to share online of crafts under construction, we would love to see them. (Contact details at the bottom of the page).

Thanks to Liz for this week’s snake activity.

Please let us know this week if you would like a bag for March.

What shall we make today?

Be very careful with those scissors, you don’t want to end up with lots of little snakes!

How to make Sammy the Slithery Snake!
Make the snake into a spiral shape by cutting where it says “ Start cutting here”. (You can help your toddler to trace the path of the scissors with a finger first, if you like, and tell them that it will be a spiral shape when it is cut.)

Keep cutting carefully until you end up at the dot in the centre.

Let your child decorate the snake with the pieces of paper provided. (You should have received glue in a previous bag from MHCC)

Sammy the Slithery Snake is finished now, although you could hang him from a shelf or a hook by making a hole in his head and threading cotton through.

Time for some singing

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

I think we should have snakes (sssss) crocodiles (snap snap) and a tortoise (step step) you could take very slow steps around the room.

Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey;
Along came a spider,
And sat down beside her,
And frightened Miss Muffet away

Incy wincy spider climbed up the waterspout,
Down came the rain and washed the spider out,
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain,
So Incy wincy spider climbed up the spout again.

Happy Birthday

Ella is going to be 4 years old this week.

We hope that everyone with a birthday this week manages to find fun things to do.

Please let us know your child’s birthday so we can add them to the list.

Please get in touch if you would like a chat.
