It was so lovely to see some of you on Friday on the church steps and it was so wet on Saturday we were amazed to see the two brave families who came along!
That is the last of our outdoor events for now, the next time we get together (hopefully) will be in the hall during June. There are three one hour sessions planned and we hope that you will be able to come along to one of them, there is a limit of 15 adults at each one.
You can sign up in our facebook group

Please get in touch if you have any questions about how we will keep everyone safe, we will publish more information closer to the event.

Thanks to Jane for today’s standing up dinosaur, it was great to see the heads poking out of this month’s bags.
If your child loves dinosaurs you could try this song on youtube which combines counting and dinosaurs!

Time to make something

Stand-up dinosaur

Stick the spots on the dinosaur’s body

Slide the ‘plates’ into the slots on your dinosaur’s back.

Work the feet into the slots in the brown cardboard bases – use glue if necessary
(F = front feet)

If your dinosaur doesn’t stand up, gently curve the body round so that the front feet are pointing at a slight angle to the back feet.  Dino should now stand up!

Have a stretch, then we can start singing

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

You put your left arm in
Your left arm out
In, out, in, out
You shake it all about
You do the hokey cokey
And you turn around
That’s what it’s all about
Woah, the hokey cokey
Woah, the hokey cokey
Woah, the hokey cokey
Knees bent
Arms stretched
Ra-ra-ra

You put your right arm in
Your right arm out

You put your whole self in
Your whole self out

Mrs MacDonald had a zoo

Mrs MacDonald had a zoo

It seems so long since we were in the hall together but Mrs MacDonald used to have dinosaurs in her zoo, which gave us the opportunity to do impressions of Trex or Stegasaurus on all fours.
We could also have flamingoes and monkeys – it is a very diverse zoo!
