Welcome to another week of Toddlers Online, we are giving out the March bags today and tomorrow, so it seems like a good time to say thank you to all the people who are making the activities each week. We have gained some extra helpers which is lovely so we want to thank Jane H, Jane T, Jane W, Leslie, Liz, Nikki, Susie and Vikki.

The next bags will be available on Saturday 28th on the steps, or on Monday 29th March at the front of church when there will also be an opportunity to help with our Easter Garden. We have changed from Friday to Monday this time to fit in with the Government Roadmap.
There will be more info on our Facebook Group MHCC Toddlers’ Online, but of course it will be subject to the guidelines in place at that time.

What shall we make today?

This week we are making daffodils.
Have you seen any daffodils when you are in the garden or when you are out for a walk.
Are there any in the park?
In your envelope you have a green stem, some leaves, a yellow flower shape, a cake case and a piece of paper.
We are going to stick our flower on to the piece of paper. If you want to you can colour in the sky and perhaps some soil or a pot or vase for your flower.

Put some glue on your stem and stick it on your paper.
Stick the leaves on to the stem.
Put some glue on the flower shape and stick it on to the top of the stem.
Stick the paper case in the middle of the flower shape.

Your flower is now done.

Time to stretch before we begin singing

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

When all the cows were sleeping
And the sun had gone to bed
Up jumped the scarecrow
And this is what he said
Chorus:
I’m a dingle, dangle scarecrow
With a great big floppy hat
I can shake my hands like this
And I can shake my feet like that

When all the hens were roosting
And the moon behind a cloud
Up jumped the scarecrow
And shouted very loud
Chorus

When dogs were in the kennels
And doves were in the loft
Up jumped the scarecrow
And whispered very soft
Chorus

The tune for this song is The wheels on the bus

The Bees in the flowers go
buzz, buzz, buzz
Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz
The bees in the flowers go buzz, buzz, buzz,
All around the town.

The ants in the grass go march, march, march.

The crickets in the leaves go chirp, chirp, chirp.

The caterpillar in the field goes creep, creep, creep.

Happy birthday!

This week we have two birthdays:

Tai who is going to be three

and Edan who is also going to be three
I wonder if they know each other?

We hope that you find ways to make the day very special.

We are thinking about those of you with children who will be going back to school on Monday, we know it is a big change and we hope that they have a happy day and that you can find a moment to drink the tea and eat the biscuits in your activity bags.

Do get in touch if you want to chat or head over to the Toddlers Online facebook group.
