Wow, it’s December!
We hope that you have a great time with the new Activity Bags, thanks to Nikki, Susie, Liz and Vikki who have contributed the activities this month.

We are disappointed that we couldn’t meet up with you all to distribute the bags, we are hoping that it will be possible on 8th and 9th January. By the way it is never to early to reserve a bag for January, all forty December ones have been claimed.

As promised a photo from our recent planning meeting, if you think this photo is bad you should see what happens when we try selfies! Vikki and Jenny on the top, Susie and Liz on the bottom row.

You will find in your bag two Christmas cards to make, we would be really pleased if you could put one through the Brown Door in Bowden Lane and we will send them on to some of our older people particularly those who live on their own. People at church are taking an interest in these bags and it would be lovely to involve them in this way.

Another angel to make this week

Inside your envelope are 2 angels.….because you can never have too many angels at Christmas.
Maybe you could make one and give it away to someone special? If you want to make even more angels just draw around your angel onto another piece of card or paper and cut it out.
1 Also in your envelope is some silver or gold card, lacy paper, stickers, bits of tinsel and sticky stars to help you decorate your angel.

2 Using a pen or pencil you can draw a face on your angel. Maybe you would like to give your angel some rosy cheeks. You could add some hair using pens or some wool.

3 You need to decorate the back of the wings because this will be the bit showing when you put your angel together.

4 Using the diagram below fold your angel and put one slot into the other slot. Your angel will stand up or if you want to hang your angel up you can add some thread using sellotape on the back of the head.

5 If you have a battery tea light your angel will fit over it and will glow. My angel is over a colour changing tea light.

Don’t forget to send us a picture of your beautiful angel

What shall we sing?

Five naughty monkeys bouncing on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mummy phoned the Doctor
The Doctor said
NO MORE MONKEYS BOUNCING ON THE BED

Four naughty monkeys bouncing on the bed
One fell off and bumped her head
Daddy phoned the Doctor
The Doctor said
NO MORE MONKEYS BOUNCING ON THE BED

Three naughty……..

Round and round the garden
Like a teddy bear
One step
Two steps
Tickle you under there

This was one of our favourite songs a few years ago, it has actions which are easy to follow and it tells one of the stories about the angels that you have made this week. A band of angels by John Hardwick, it will get into your brain!

Happy birthday to…

Billy
and
Clara
who are both three this weekend, we hope you have a special day.

If you have recently joined in with Toddlers’ Club, please let us know your child’s date of birth so that we can add you to our list.

Christmas is different for all of us this year, and we weren’t sure whether we would be able to open the church buildings, so we decided to build the nativity story on the church steps adding pieces through December until Christmas Eve, make sure you come and have a look when you are out for a walk.

If you want to get in touch, have a chat, share some news please do, we enjoy hearing from you, and don’t forget we love to see your photos of the children making the crafts. If the child is in the photo please write in the message whether or not we can share it on the website and/or social media.

We miss you, Susie, Nikki, Liz, Vikki, Jane and Jenny
