Unbelievably we are now in full production for our November bag, please email us to reserve one, the collection will be on 6th and 7th November 9.45-10.45am.

Time to make something
What you need:
Brown card cut into a large acorn shape ( cereal packet possibly?)
A hole punch
A length of wool
Paper for drawing round your child’s hand
A green crayon to colour the hand/leaf
Glue
Instructions;
1 Ask your child if they can lace the wool through the holes in the acorn. If it is difficult it might help to dip the end of the wool in pva glue and let it dry or wrap the end in sticky tape so you have a firm point to push through the holes.
2 Draw round your child’s hand
3 Cut out the hand shape
4 Glue this “leaf” to the back of the acorn
This is a great idea for a ‘keepsake’ activity, one day you will be amazed at how small their hands were.
It might be a good one to use as a card if you have family or friends who are in Tier 2 or 3, or who just need to know that someone is thinking of them.
There are some great ideas for ways to decorate leaves on this link, from October 2019 on the Ideas and Fun facebook page.
If you going out looking for leaves and acorns this Leicestershire website is really helpful.

I’m pretty sure you will find places that you didn’t know about and it also tells you any insects, birds or animals you are likely to see there.
Plus you can add the things you see to their records while you are out and about.
Time for singing
Have you been outside this week and seen some leaves on the trees?
Can you stretch as high as a tree, and fall down on the ground like a leaf?
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
The tune for this song is The wheels on the bus
The Bees in the flowers go buzz, buzz, buzz
Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz
The bees in the flowers go buzz, buzz, buzz,
All around the town.
The ants in the grass go march, march, march.
The crickets in the leaves go chirp, chirp, chirp.
The caterpillar in the field goes creep, creep, creep.
See the little bunnies sleeping til it’s nearly noon
Shall we wake them with a merry tune?
They’re so still, are they ill?
No! Wake up bunnies!
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop and stop
Happy birthday to
