We really love seeing your photos, please put a message with the photo telling us that is okay for us to use it on the website or social media, or that you dont want it used either way is fine.

We really need to know how many people want bags this month, so we can arrange for you to collect them, we are not going to have the gazebo at church this time, in case the restrictions arent lifted – but we do hope to be there on 2nd January.
Email is easiest for us, but you can message as well.

There is no charge for the bags but if you wanted to give us a donation to HomeStart we will pass it on. Those who have been on Friday mornings will know that we have a collection for them each week.

The Homestart South Leicestershire Facebook page is great, they are putting up lots of ideas. There is a letter on there (3/11) from a Mum who is finding the second lockdown difficult and it might help to know you are not alone if you are finding it hard.
Don’t forget we are always happy to listen if you get in touch.

I hope you have been able to get out and about this week and perhaps collected some leaves.

Let’s make something.

What you need – everything is in this week’s envelope except for the leaves. But if you don’t have an envelope you will need:
An outline of a squirrel but see below)
Leaves or coloured paper cut into the shape of leaves.
Backing paper
Glue
Crayons

This cute little squirrel has a crafty tail made from leaves. You can use real leaves that you collect or you can cut out leaf shapes from coloured paper.
If you want to use real leaves you can collect them from small shrubs and bushes, not just trees!
Try and collect them the day before and dry them, pressed between heavy books to flatten them.
If youre not using real leaves, cut some free hand from coloured paper

If drawing a squirrel is an artistic step too far you can also create a hedgehog outline using your hand as a template.

Colour in the squirrel or hedgehog, he needs a eyes and a nose.
Glue the leaves to the back for the squirrel or hedgehog.
Let the glue dry otherwise you will have leaves all over the house!

Time for singing

Shall we stretch up high,
Now rub your ears
Wiggle your nose
and touch your toes
Ready to sing?

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

See the little bunnies sleeping til it’s nearly noon
Shall we wake them with a merry tune?
They’re so still, are they ill?
No! Wake up bunnies!
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop and stop

Round and round the garden
Like a teddy bear
One step
Two steps
Tickle you under there

Old MacDonald had a farm
E I E I O
and in that farm he had a …………
E I E I O
with a ……… here
and a ……… there
here a …….
there a ……….
everywhere a ………
Old MacDonald had a farm
E I E I O

Shall we have squirrels I think they probably say nibble nibble as they eat the acorns, hedgehogs and you can roll over like a hedgehog and a dormouse who is probably curled up asleep, snore snore
