Hello everybody,

We hope that you have had a good week and are looking forward to half term next week if you have bigger children.

We’d like to know if you want a craft bag for November, they will be available on 6th and 7th November, but we do want to know how many to make, so please email us.

This picture is from our harvest in church and everything on the table has been used by the Jubilee Foodbank. Don’t forget that if life is hard for you at the moment your health visitor or GP can make a referral for an emergency food pack, there is more information on the website.

Time to make something

You will need:
7 clean lolly sticks,
1 large and 1 small circle of paper or foam,
felt tip pens, glue, sharp scissors.

Preparation:
Use the sharp scissors to cut one lolly stick in half – you only need one of these pieces. Then cut about 1 cm off the end of two other lolly sticks.

Instructions:
1. If your lolly sticks are plain you can colour them using felt tip pens before you make the tractor.
2. Take the three shorter sticks and glue the shortest one over the rounded ends of the longer ones to make a Π shape to make the tractor cab.
3. Now glue an uncut lolly stick across the bottom of the Π so that the left end of the stick is over the cut end of the left upright stick.  Glue the other three lolly sticks next to each other moving up the Π.
4. Glue the larger circle under the cab (rear wheel) and the smaller circle near the front of the tractor.

Time for singing

Shall we start by jumping up and down today?
Now can you touch your toes?
Where is your nose?

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

Bouncing up and down on a big, red, tractor. x3
Bringing in the hay. Hey!

You can sit your baby on your knee and bounce them up and down or have a look at this video which has BSL actions. Change the colour of the tractor to add more verses.

How many different vegetables and fruit can you see in this picture?

Cauliflowers fluffy and cabbages green
Strawberries are sweeter than any I’ve seen
Beetroots purple and onions white
All grow steadily day and night

The apples are ripe and the plums are red
The broadbeans are sleeping in their blankety bed.

Blackberries are juicy and rhubards sour
Marrows fattening hour by hour
Gooseberries hairy and lettuces fat
Radishes round and runner beans flat

The apples are ripe and the plums are red
The broadbeans are sleeping in their blankety bed
All the other leaders know this song, but I don’t so there is a video of it here.
