Good morning, and welcome to a new term at Toddlers’ Club Online. We hope that everyone who started school this week had a good first day and that everything went smoothly for big brothers and sisters returning after the break. We also hope that Mums and Dads are okay.
If you are here for the first time we are really glad that you have found us, please join in with us. If you don’t know the songs you can search for them on YouTube, but we do have a habit of changing the words (often because Jenny forgets them!)

We are very sad that we are not in the hall to meet you today, and we don’t expect to be back this term.
There are a number of reasons for this,
*no singing allowed,
*problems about toddlers distancing and sharing of toys,
*we need to look after our leaders and helpers
*the fact that there are so many of us makes it particularly difficult.

We have been talking and praying about this all summer, but eventually accepted, what we knew in our hearts all along, that we can’t re-open yet.

So please do come along alternate Friday mornings when we will put up songs and a craft actvity and get in touch with us by email or facebook messenger.

Let’s make something

This week Amy has created a paper person for the children to dress up.

You will need:
Plain paper
Fabric scraps
Pencil crayons
Person template

What you need to do

1. Draw a template of a person (there are lots available online).

2. Use colouring pencils to give them features

3. Decide what you’d like your person to wear. We have dressed ours in school uniform ready to go back to school.

4. You can create outfits for different occasions or occupations.

Time for singing

Can you remember how we start each week?
Stretch up as high as you can
Touch your toes
Find your nose
and tap your knees.

Our version of Head and shoulders means that you don’t have to touch your face, see if you can get it right.

Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
and thighs and calves and heels and toes
Hair and shoulders, knees and toes

If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands
If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands
If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it,
If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands

If you’re happy and you know it nod your head

If you’re happy and you know it stamp your feet

If you’re happy and you know it shout “We are!”

If you’re happy and you know it do all four.
(clap clap, nod nod, stamp stamp, WE ARE)

Another of our favourite songs is about Mrs MacDonald’s Zoo, you may know her husband, he has a farm. You need to do actions for all of the animals you choose.
We like bears, snakes and flamingoes.

Mrs MacDonald had a zoo
E I E I O
and in that zoo she had an elephant
E I E I O
with a (trumpeting sound) here
and a (trumpeting sound) there
here a (trumpeting sound)
there a (trumpeting sound)
everywhere a (trumpeting sound)
Mrs MacDonald had a zoo
E I E I O

Please message us if you would like a chat, if you send us your phone number one of us will ring or text you back you can use email or facebook messenger.

This photo was taken in July when some of us were able to get together to say thank you to Susie who has now officially retired, but continues to be a good friend to us all.
