There is a very informal meeting at Enigma Cafe Bar on Coventry Road on the second Friday of each month, usually coffee and tea cakes all round. It is good to meet for conversations which range from clarification on what happened at church meeting, news of friends and health updates and funny things which have happened. But we also cover serious topics sometimes and one which comes up is loneliness.
In the spring we talked about how hard it is to go home from chuch on your own on a Sunday, when families all seem to be together and you can feel very isolated.

Enigma offers a carvery meal on a Sunday and so it was agreed that Charmaine will take names and book a table on the last Sunday of each month, which is open to everyone but really aimed at those who would be on their own otherwise.

If you want to know more about either group, either email or ask someone to point out Sheila and Charmaine on a Sunday morning as they organise the two events.
