We would be pleased to welcome you to any of our monthly groups, it is always worth checking the church diary in case there has been a change of venue or date.
First Wednesday

‘FIRST WEDNESDAY’ meets in The Lounge, the most homely and welcoming space on our premises, on the ‘first Wednesday’ of each month. Meetings are from 2.30 to 4.00pm including a proper afternoon tea.
Friendly hosts set the tone, with an activity to get people together and (usually) a guest who will be interviewed about their journey of faith.
These Wednesday afternoons are open to all and would especially suit those who like to meet new people and hear new things.
There will be an opportunity to make a donation for the tea, but no fees or fuss.
Places need to be booked. Please email or call Margaret on MH 288206.
Men’s Group
We have a group of up to about a dozen men who more often than not attend. The format is quite easy going. We meet on the first Thursday of each month for breakfast normally meeting at the Enigma Lounge on Coventry Road but it does vary so do check.
The capacity of men to eat a full English, regardless of sometimes ridiculous quantity, keeps the group ticking over. Having eaten we sometimes have one of the group talk to us about a subject of his choice, always stimulating a lively conversation.
This is a welcoming and relaxed group, you don’t need to book
Tea at Two
There is a very informal meeting at Enigma Cafe Bar on Coventry Road at 2pm on the second Friday of each month, usually coffee and tea cakes all round. It is good to meet for conversations which range from clarification on what happened at church meeting, news of friends and health updates and funny things which have happened. But we also cover serious topics sometimes and one which comes up is loneliness.
In the spring we talked about how hard it is to go home from church on your own on a Sunday, when families all seem to be together and you can feel very isolated, which led to our Sunday Roast.
Sunday Roast
Enigma offers a carvery meal on a Sunday and Charmaine takes names the week before and books a table on the last Sunday of each month, which is open to everyone but really aimed at those who would be on their own otherwise. You pay for your own meal and drinks.
If you would like to come along you can email or speak to Charmaine on a Sunday morning.
