The Market Harborough Congregational Church is situated conveniently in Market Harborough town centre, at the top of the High Street.  The town itself is easily accessible from the M1 and A14 alike. 

We have 4 rooms available to hire with sizes to fit your needs.  Access and parking is excellent; there is 40 minutes of free parking available opposite the main entrance to the building in Bowden Lane for loading and unloading, and a pay and display car park next to our largest room, the Jubilee Hall, with direct access into the side of the Hall.

OUR ROOMS:

Jubilee Hall

Our largest room is the Jubilee Hall, which is a light, airy space measuring 18m x 12m.  The ceiling is over 20m high, providing users with excellent acoustics. 

The Hall can seat 150 theatre style and also has a microphone system and hearing loop.  It has direct access to the adjacent public car park, and a connecting door to the Lounge Room, as well as a serving hatch to the Kitchen.  A stage measuring 5m x 3m is available for hire.  The Hall has excellent disabled access either from Bowden Lane via a ramp through our main doors, or from the car park adjacent to the property through the side doors.

This space is suitable for many different uses, such as conferences, training, presentations, AGMs, Dances, Fitness/Yoga classes, Concerts and many more.  It is available for daytime or evening hire, during the week and on Saturdays (no Sunday hire).

The Kitchen

The Kitchen is connected to the Jubilee Hall through a serving hatch and is well appointed and modern having been refurbished in 2015.  Measuring 5m x 4m, it has a large oven with six ring gas hob, dishwasher, urn, fridge and plenty of cups, saucers, plates and cutlery.  The use of all of the items in the Kitchen is included in the hire price.  It is used for simply providing tea and coffee or providing large scale catering, such is its versatility.  It may be hired in conjunction with the Jubilee Hall or Lounge.

The Lounge

The Lounge is a carpeted ground floor room measuring 8m x 7m.  It is comfortably furnished and has tea and coffee making facilities.  The room is hired to groups of 40 or less and may be set out in theatre style, or cabaret/classroom for group training or conferences.  For presentations, there is a large screen and WiFi is available. There is a connecting door to the Jubilee Hall, so that both rooms may be hired together.  This room is suitable for disabled users, with ramp access directly off Bowden Lane.

The Ashley Room

Upstairs the Ashley Room is a bright and airy room with beautiful views. It measures 8m x 5m and is partially carpeted, partially laminated.  There are tea and coffee making facilities, and two access doors.  

The Langton Room

Also upstairs, the Langton Room is a well proportioned room, popular for yoga, Pilates, and training classes.  It measures 6m x 6m and can be arranged for meetings in different styles to suit your needs.  There are tea and coffee making facilities in a newly refurbished kitchen area.

Safeguarding Policy

The Church is committed to ensuring that vulnerable users of the building are properly supervised and looked after.  Our safeguarding policy is available and all users must inform the Lettings Administrator if they plan to work with unaccompanied children or vulnerable adults.  In such cases, a copy of a current DBS Certificate will be required.

Should you hire our rooms, your data will be kept securely and only used for the purpose of invoicing and customer service.

Setting Up & Clearing Away

The onus is on the hirer to set the room up as they wish and clear it away after use.  We will provide the tables and chairs for your event, in readiness for you to set them up.  It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure the room is left as they found it.  Larger groups use a local company, ICP, to set up and clear away for them.  Click here for ICP’s details.  All rubbish must be removed from the site after hiring a room.
